Freedom Recovery Services, based in North Richland Hills Texas is a small business owned an operated right here in the DFW metroplex. In an effort to simplify, yet still offer powerful resources to their team, we got rid of their existing shared hosting website, integrated a new website within Google Apps, added integrated email, calendar and documents. In addition to completely adding a single point solution of cloud based computing, we designed and maintain their website, but more importantly, Freedom is able to make changes on the fly to suit the needs of changing business environments. Because Freedom Recovery Services is a services based company, providing restoration services to commercial and residential clients, they are always on the go and a single dispatcher and office manager can maintain schedules and appointments centrally, while notifying field techs of requirements to be at a certain place at a specific time. If Freedom receives a dispatch request, their office based dispatcher sends a calendar event (appointment request, meeting request) to the field tech who gets the notification right on their hand held smart phone and is able to accept the meeting or appointment immediately. This not only adds the appointment to the field tech's calendar, it also notifies the dispatcher the appointment has been accepted and will be responded to. Additionally, the dispatcher or office manager can then add documents such as quotation forms, contracts and insurance claim forms directly to Google Docs which enables the field tech to download the documents immediately to their devices (laptops, smart phones, iPads or Android devices) This has streamlined Freedom's communication and has efficiently replaced the need to make time consuming phone calls. Everything is centralized and integrated. Furthermore, the dispatcher is able to monitor all field tech locations by using GPS based technology to pinpoint a location on a Google Map where the tech is presently located in real time. This assists the dispatcher with knowing who is able to respond most quickly. Let's say the field tech gets onsite and the client has additional information that needs to be transmitted back to the office. The use of a smart phone's camera can email a copy of a new document or image that is integral to effective project management. The field tech can either upload the images or video directly to Google Docs or Google Video which can then be reviewed by appropriate team members under the security of Freedom's Google Apps account, or the email attachment can be uploaded by the office manager who can add important information to compliment the event. Now that the updated information has been uploaded on this project to Google Docs, Freedom has learned that the another specialist within Freedom Recovery needs to respond onsite to assess further information. The new field tech with the appropriate equipment and knowledge can be integrated into the project by use of the same powerful collaboration solution which initiated the event.
